The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) announced that Monday, March 11, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
This came in the Committee's statement after its meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs on Sunday evening.
The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs held its meeting on Sunday evening, 29th of Sha'ban 1445 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2024, to sight the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan and to prove the testimony of whoever see it.
The Committee said that Ramadan moon was sighted Sunday evening, accordingly announces that Monday, March 11, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Committee extended greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the wise Government, the people of Qatar and all Muslims, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) said the Ramadan crescent was sighted Sunday and, as a result, announced that Monday would be the first day of the holy month.
