The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has received a delegation from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Oman.
The delegation visited the headquarters of the General Administration of Endowments to learn about the Qatari endowment initiatives and electronic systems while exchanging experiences, knowledge and discussing ways of co-operation.
Director General of the General Administration of Endowments Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohamed bin Ghanem al-Thani gave a detailed explanation of the functions of the administration, its electronic systems, services, banks and endowment projects.
The director general also reviewed the most prominent features of the Qatari Endowment Law, the articles of other laws related to endowment, the governance system and the related regulations.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs of Oman Eng. Ahmed bin Saleh al-Rashidi praised the application of the General Administration of Endowments. He noted the application fulfils all endowment services.
Al-Thani handed over a memento to al-Rashidi and the delegation. The Omani delegation included Sheikh Saleh bin Hamdoun al-Rahbi, Dr Ahmed bin Ali al-Kaabi and Hamad bin Salloum bin Mubarak al-Adhoubi, Talal bin Issa al-Harrasi and Rashid bin Saleh al-Rashidi.
