Adobe announced that it will soon be shutting down the Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix apps on Android.
The company had already done it on iOS in 2021, but kept them for a few more years on Googles mobile OS for unknown reasons.
Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix are a couple of Adobe apps with quite specific goals. "Mix" basically allows you to blend or combine more than two images in a simple way. Meanwhile, "Fix" is an app that includes a set of options for quick tweaks to pictures. Both stopped receiving updates in 2021, the same year they were removed from the App Store.
Now, the company is notifying users of the Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix apps about the shutdown of both. Those who have used the app in the past are receiving the notice via email.
Currently, none of the apps are available in the Google Play Store. You will only see them if you had them installed before they were removed. However, although the apps continue to work in this latter case, it is temporary, as they will stop working as of June 4, 2024, according to the email.
After the Photoshop Mix and Fix Android apps sunset, the company encourages users to switch to Photoshop Express as an alternative.
