QSE index rises 0.48% at start of trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 46.22 points, or 0.48%, at the beginning of trading on Sunday, reaching the level of 9,679 points, compared to Thursday's closing.


The general index was supported by a rise in six sectors: Insurance by 1.08%; Industrials by 0.77%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.59%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.08%; Telecoms by 0.05% and Real Estate by 0.01%. On the other hand, the performance was negative for the Transportation sector by 0.30%.

At 10:00 am, 23.302 million shares were traded in 2,128 transactions valued QR 58.593 million.
