Doha will play host to "Bangladesh Trade Fair Qatar 2024” on May 23-25, commemorating the golden jubilee of the diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and Qatar.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar, in collaboration with Reliant Events and Exhibition Management and Bangla Event International, has organised the fair, which also seeks to build on the successful visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to Bangladesh last month.
The event would help promote the rich and diverse culture, heritage and fashion of Bangladesh in Qatar through showcasing the export-oriented goods and services. It also aims to strengthen economic ties, promote bilateral trade, and foster new business opportunities between Bangladesh and Qatar.
As many as 30 companies from the garments, food, realty, hotel and tourism sectors of Bangladesh are expected to participate in the fair. It has also been planned to organise a series of cultural programmes and seminars during the event, which is being held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and Qatar.
The trade fair – being held at the Crown Plaza Hotel Business Park Al Falak – will feature panel discussions with industry experts, focusing on investment opportunities and economic collaboration between Bangladesh and Qatar.
