The initiative is aimed at preserving the marine environment and protecting marine biodiversity in Qatar, a statement said. Divers removed several abandoned anchors lying deep in the water.
The drive is initiated in co-operation between the departments of Marine Protection Department and Natural Reserves at MoECC and Beaches and Islands department of the Ministry of Municipality.
