DPS Modern Indian School hosted the 10th edition of Encuesta - 2024, the annual inter-school quiz competition for the students of Grades VI to VIII.

The event brought together participants from 16 Indian schools across Qatar.

Under the theme 'Uniting the World, Shaping Tomorrow,' the quiz featured diverse rounds in science, mathematics, technology, history, and current affairs to test the students' knowledge, reflexes and teamwork.

Following the preliminary round, five teams — Olive International School (OIS), Birla Public School (BPS), Ideal Indian School, Doha Modern Indian School (DMIS), and DPS-Modern Indian School, each comprising three students — advanced to the final.

The competition intensified through five challenging rounds: Mind Maze, News Chronicle, Techtrek Trivia, Sci-Fi Challenge and Speedy Spark.

OIS team comprising Sai Harish Murugesan, Jake Joseph and Arnav Suhag started out strong and never broke their stride and went on to be the winners. DMIS team with Alezza Khan, Ishaan Jogi and Divya Sumukh K was the first runners-up and BPS team comprising Joachim, Krisha and Ryan Geo, the second runners-up.

DPS-MIS president Yasir Nainar, the chief guest, highlighted the significance of academic competitions in nurturing a spirit of inquiry and learning among students. Principal Asna Nafees, reflected on the journey of Encuesta and celebrated its decade-long success. She congratulated the participants and the winners and thanked the management, principals and teachers of partaking Indian schools. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
