Mowasalat (Karwa) on Monday launched its new academy after revamping the Karwa Driving School.
Located at Karwa headquarters, the Karwa Academy's launch ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and representatives from government entities along with transport and education sectors. The ceremony marked the unveiling of a new logo and branding, symbolising the academy's commitment to innovation and excellence.
With a fresh vision for transport and several features of safety training, the Karwa Academy is set to expand its offerings, focusing on both business-to-business and business-to-consumer segments. This is achieved while providing enhanced training solutions that address the evolving needs of the transport industry. The academy has introduced new capacities through the IMI certification and custom-made training solutions for businesses, specifically tailored to address the country’s requirements in the field of electric vehicles.
Karwa Academy's training programmes include defensive driving, certificate of professional competency and emergency response driver training. These are designed to meet the ever-evolving demands of the public transport and automotive sectors in collaboration with renowned organisations such as the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Off-road training programmes are provided in addition to the ADR training, essential for the safe transport of dangerous goods in accordance with directives and regulations of the Ministry of Transport. Karwa Academy has introduced license training for disabled candidates so as to enable them to become responsible and safe drivers.
Karwa Academy director Faisal al-Nuaimi, who addressed the ceremony, said: "We are dedicated to empowering our clients and staff with the skills needed for today's dynamic transportation and logistics market ensuring safety and professionalism in every service we offer."
The launch event also included a tour of Karwa Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities and the IMI certified Training Centre. Guests experienced firsthand the cutting-edge training methodologies and equipment now available to students and professionals looking to advance their capabilities in transportation safety and operations.
