The annual Aaravam 24 event, organised by the Alumni Association of NSS College of Engineering (Anecx), concluded at the Aspire Dome and Birla Public School (BPS) with its Techfest.
Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS), BPS and Delhi Public School (DPS) were crowned champions in various categories.
The science project competitions were categorised by themes. In the working model category, with the theme 'Sustainable Energy for Future World,' SIS was first and BPS second. The still model category, themed 'Green Desert,' saw BPS first and Noble International School second. In the projects category, focusing on Pollution Control, SIS was first and Al Khor International School second. A quiz anchored by A R Renjith was a highlight.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution at BPS had Indian ambassador Vipul as the chief guest. Kahramaa's Conservation & Energy Efficiency Department manager engineer Rashid al-Rahimi, Indian Business and Professionals Council vice president Hisham Abdul Raheem, Qatar Airways chief information officer T A Sreenivasan, and Birla Public School director Dr Mohan Thomas were the other dignitaries.
Anecx president Dr engineer Abdul Hameed presided. Engineer Dileep B highlighted the competition's features. Ambassador Vipul lauded Anecx for fostering enthusiasm among the younger generation. Engineer al-Rahimi announced special gifts and certificates for the winners from Kahramaa and the Qatar Scientific Society, where he serves as executive director.
Aaravam chairman engineer Ashique Ahamed welcomed the attendees and engineer Aneesh proposed a vote of thanks.
