Birla Public School (BPS) won the National Olympiad for Creativity in Mathematics, Science and Engineering (NIO) 2024 competition, organised under the Department of Mathematics/Department of Educational Guidance, Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).

The BPS team, consisting of Riaan Jigar Shah, Harsha Kovvuri and Suhas, from the Senior Secondary, who came first among the 54 teams, were honoured along with the Department of Mathematics head Shibu P S, at a ceremony at the MoEHE. Certificates were presented by Maha al-Rowali, assistant under-secretary for educational affairs and Maryam Noaman al-Emadi, director of Educational Supervision Department.

BPS’ project – Greenhouse with Remote Automation and Sensor System typifies a remarkable development in agriculture technology, combining the efficiency of a geodesic dome and sensor systems to ensure ideal growth conditions and to deliver optimal growth conditions while minimising wastage.

The school management, principal, and the senior leadership congratulated the team for winning the coveted championship.
