The United Nations General Assembly has elected, by acclamation, the Second Secretary of the Permanent Delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York, Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, as Vice-Chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly's Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee).
