Environmental activist and founder of Al Hanzab Environmental Initiative, Ali bin Talib al-Hanzab, has published his first book titled 'Plants and Trees of Qatar's Environment,' local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.

Al-Hanzab explained that his book is the culmination of six years of environmental work. It is intended to serve as an environmental scientific reference targeting students and nature enthusiasts. The book includes 99 of the Qatari wild plants, alongside their local and scientific names, families, and planting time.

Further, the book includes more than 130 plants and trees from the wild flora found in the soil, sandy, or hilly areas, in addition to the coastal areas. Each plant and its family are mentioned. Al-Hanzab noted that this book would a resource book for all students and schools and will be available to all environmental enthusiasts in general to explore Qatar's environment.
