The Qatari Haj Mission on Saturday opened the clinics of its Medical Service Unit for pilgrims from Qatar. According to an official statement from the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, Rashid bin Saeed al-Khayareen, consul general of Qatar in Jeddah, opened the clinics at the mission headquarters in Jeddah after they received approval from the Saudi health authorities.

The consul general was received at the Qatari Haj Mission headquarters by deputy head Ali Sultan al-Musaifri, Dr Khaled Abdul Hadi, head of the Medical Services Unit, Dr Mishal Abdullah al-Musaifri, the unit deputy head and a number of the mission’s advisors and officials.

The consul general made an inspection tour of the medical unit and its facilities, during which he was briefed on the clinic’s sections and the equipment that the mission provides to the pilgrims. He appreciated the mission’s efforts for the pilgrims.

He noted that Qatar's consulate in Jeddah is in co-operation with the Qatari Haj delegation to serve the country’s pilgrims and provide all appropriate services.

The Saudi Ministry of Health earlier accredited all the medical staff and private clinics of the Medical Services Unit of the Qatari Haj Mission.
