talabat, the region’s leading platform for everyday deliveries, launched Road Safety Week initiatives to enhance riders' awareness of traffic rules and regulations.

A local event was hosted by talabat in the presence of the Ministry of Interior, Traffic Department and Federation of Indian Nurses Qatar, whereby several sessions were covered with riders to discuss safe practices on the road.

talabat also took the opportunity to award the safest riders with cash prizes for their safe driving habits, which were analysed daily through talabat’s telematics in-app safety solution.

talabat’s Road Safety Week also featured a series of on-ground safety initiatives, which included a safety briefing for talabat Patrollers, a session for third-party logistics supervisors on telematics and safety guidelines, distribution of safety flyers to riders and vendors, and a training session for riders at the Hero Academy.

In a press statement, talabat Qatar managing director Francisco Miguel De Sousa said: "For the third consecutive year, our objective of launching Road Safety Week is to advocate for safe driving practices within our community. By raising awareness and providing education through engaging events to riders and our logistics partners, we aim to ensure the safety of all individuals on the road. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, the Traffic Department, and Federation of Indian Nurses Qatar for their participation in our annual road safety event."

With these initiatives, talabat seeks to promote safer driving habits and safeguard the well-being of the community. Customers can download the talabat app from the iOS App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei App Gallery.
