Qatar's ambassador to Italy and Permanent Representativeto the UN agencies based in Rome Khalid bin Youssef al-Sada has been elected as Vice-Chairperson of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO) Council in its 175th session, for the third consecutive time.

The council is holding its 175th session from June 10-15, in light of difficult and complex international circumstances, such as the war on Gaza, the tragic food security situation there, and the impact of the war in Ukraine on global food security.
