The Ministry of Education and Higher Education launched on Wednesday the first phase of the Private Educational Institutions Licensing Platform, encompassing all departments within the Private Education Affairs sector of the ministry.

Following the inauguration of the platform, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi stated that the ministry aims for continuous development, including the digital transformation of government services. He highlighted that the launch of this platform is a significant step towards providing more efficient and effective digital services, reducing the time and effort required for all parties involved in the licensing processes of private educational institutions.

Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized that the constructive cooperation with investors is a cornerstone of the ministry's ambitious vision to enhance and develop education in Qatar. He affirmed that the partnership with the private sector plays a pivotal role in supporting the educational process and delivering high-quality services, contributing to a brighter future for students. He noted that the platform has been designed interactively to support this partnership and enrich the educational process.

Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Omar Abdulaziz Al Naama said that the development of the platform took two years. It begins today with services for the management of nurseries as the first phase, followed by the same services for private schools, kindergartens, and educational centers in subsequent phases.

Al Naama considered the launch of the platform a significant step towards facilitating and accelerating the procedures for obtaining new licenses to open private educational institutions and renewing licenses from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. He noted that it supports investors by providing the ministry's services flexibly, saving them time and effort, and eliminating the need for paper transactions. This platform connects to the information systems of several ministries and government entities required for issuing educational licenses electronically.

He pointed out that the platform also offers greater transparency in completing transactions, enabling investors to track all stages of issuing or renewing licenses and know the current status of their requests.

Al Naama stressed that the ministry's commitment to supporting investors and facilitating the services provided aligns with its strategy to offer all services in a manner that improves user experience and encourages investment in this vital sector.

Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mona Al Fadhli stated that the digital transformation in education, according to global trends, has taken a significant place in the ministry's efforts, including working on providing an integrated system of applications and systems that facilitate access to various services, meeting the aspirations and needs of the public.

She noted that the Private Educational Institutions Licensing Platform is the primary interface for investors in the private education sector. She pointed out that the need arose to present an innovative, distinguished, and comprehensive achievement that meets the requirements of digital transformation and facilitates access to electronic services for investors. The platform was developed using the latest technology to ensure easy and high-quality services for investors and system users.

She added that to ensured that the development of the Private Educational Institutions Licensing Platform aligns with the goals of the digital transformation program within the ministry's strategy and Qatar's National Vision 2030, the team aimed to provide the best digital solutions for investment in education.

During the inauguration ceremony, a comprehensive presentation was given on the platform's mechanism, objectives, and service phases.

In a statement to journalists, Omar Al Naama highlighted the platform's features, which provide high-efficiency services to investors in the private education sector through a single portal, saving them time and effort and encouraging investment in this field.

He explained that 750 private educational institutions, including schools, kindergartens, nurseries, and educational centers supervised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, will benefit from this platform, including 167 nurseries.
