Qatari driver Omar Aswat clinched the 2024 Qatar Karting Championship title after a strong performance throughout the season. Despite not reaching the podium in the fifth and final race at the Lusail Karting Track on Tuesday, Aswat finished at the top of the overall standings with a total of 74 points to secure the championship. Aswat gathered 74 points from five races, while Karim Rizkallah took the second spot with 58 points. Tameem Hassiba finished third in the standings with 56 points. Thomas Estevez came fourth in the final standings after securing 15 points in the fifth round, pushing his total to 46 points, while Faesal al-Yafei completed the top five with a total of 43 points. In Tuesday’s grand finale, Rizkallah topped the podium with a total time of 14:22.221. Rizkallah led the race by a significant margin of 27.788 seconds. Yousuf al-Sulaiti secured the second place in 14:50.009, 0.021 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher Estevez. Earlier in Group 1, Felice Carena clinched the top spot, while Nimr al-Qahtani and Victor Litaudon came second and third, respectively.
