Philippines ambassador Lillibeth V Pono and Qatar's Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi led a cake-cutting ceremony on Thursday during the commemoration of the 126th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine independence.

Also present were the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Protocol director ambassador HE Ibrahim Fakhroo, Diplomatic Corps dean and Eritrean ambassador Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, and other dignitaries.

Guests of the event, hosted by the Philippines embassy, were treated to a traditional dance that showcased the rich and colourful culture and heritage of the country.
