Al Hazm defeated Al Aziziyah 3-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw to win the Al Rayyan Futsal Championship, organized by the Al Rayyan club’s youth wing.
The tournament included 8 teams, and the organizing committee awarded valuable prizes with the winners getting QR7,000 besides the trophy and the runners-up QR4,000. The tournament’s top-scorer and best players received QR1,000 in each category.
For his part, Faisal al-Hammadi, head of the youth wing at Al Rayyan Club, congratulated Al Hazm team on winning the title. He said the team presented a distinguished performance throughout the tournament and the final match fulfilled its promise.
“We are happy with the success of the tournament, especially since it comes on the Gulf Youth Day, which contributes to increasing awareness of the importance of youth work and the advancement in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.”
