The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) added 40.87 points, or 0.42 percent, to its index in early trading Thursday, reaching 9,727 points, supported by gains in four sectors compared to yesterday's close.

According to QSE data, the telecommunications sector saw a positive performance with a 0.85 percent increase, the transportation sector rose by 0.79 percent, the industrial sector grew by 0.53 percent, and the banking and financial services sector increased by 0.24 percent. In contrast, the real estate sector fell by 0.08 percent, the consumer goods and services sector decreased by 0.18 percent, and the insurance sector dropped by 1.30 percent.

By 10:00 AM, QSE recorded transactions valued at QR 40.957 million, with 14.669 million shares traded across 1,551 deals. (QNA)
