Izdihar, the initiative and volunteer incubator of Qatar Charity (QC), has recognised the winning community initiatives in the fifth edition of the “Initiatives Challenge” programme, launched during Ramadan.

The “Awareness Club for Special Education” claimed first place with their project “We are happy with their happiness”.

The “180° Together Towards Change Initiative” secured second place with “Goodness Has Faces”, while the “Otype Initiative” took third place with “In Return of the Favour”.

In his opening speech, QC Local Projects Department head Farid Khalil Siddiqui said that the fifth edition of the “Initiatives Challenge” attracted 18 initiatives, with 15 successfully completing the challenge.

Judging committee member Aisha al-Muhannadi conveyed deep appreciation for the efforts of participating teams and their high-quality execution, saying that this made the evaluation process challenging for the committee.

The closing ceremony was attended by prominent figures in volunteer and community work, including Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities president Dr Youssef al-Kadhim, president of the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities, Abdullah Hamid al-Mulla from Qatar University's Student Activities Department, and Fatima al-Emadi, director of the Student Leadership and Community Service Department, along with Yasser al-Qawasmi, head of the Student Clubs Department at Qatar University.
