Qatar participated Monday in the 19th ministerial meeting of the Asian Co-operation Dialogue, held in Tehran, Iran. HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi headed Qatar's delegation at the meeting. In his speech during the meeting, HE al-Muraikhi emphasised Qatar's commitment to the goals and values of the Asian Co-operation Dialogue, saying that the dialogue constitutes the State's most important principle for establishing international peace and security and one of the pillars of its foreign policy.He reiterated Qatar's firm stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, especially their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.HE al-Muraikhi affirmed that Qatar stresses the importance of adhering to the Doha Agreement to bring peace to Afghanistan, which was announced in 2020 with Qatar's mediation, and which set the road map to reach a political solution that guarantees peace, stability, and prosperity for the fraternal Afghan people.Concluding his speech, he welcomed the participating delegations in the upcoming 3rd Asia Co-operation Dialogue Summit, set to convene in Doha on October 2-3.
