TeachMeCode recently launched an international boot camp program, and the first five-day event in Dubai was a rousing success. The event was attended by more than 50 developers from countries worldwide, including Romania, Serbia, Poland, Austria, and France. Led by software entrepreneur Alexandru Cocindau, the inaugural TeachMeCode boot camp produced several exciting projects.

The five-day event was held at the TeachMeCode Institute in the United Arab Emirates, aiming to foster innovation and collaboration among developers. Participants were divided into three teams, each tasked with developing a unique software project. The first team worked on an educational institution program, the second team developed booking software, and the third team focused on creating a quiz-style game. Each project contributed to TeachMeCode’s educational mission. Besides the exciting work, attendees enjoyed activities like a Michelin-starred dinner, a yacht trip around Dubai, and karting. These activities showed TeachMeCode’s appreciation for their participation and helped build a strong bond among the developers.

“Our mission at TeachMeCode Institute is to inspire and equip developers with the skills necessary to innovate and excel. These boot camps not only showcase the exceptional talent and creativity of our developers but also integrate our students with senior developers, offering them their first experience in a professional environment. We take immense pride in supporting the growth and development of these bright minds,” remarked boot camp leader Alexandru Cocindau, Chairman and Founder of TeachMeCode, who is also the owner of software companies spanning various industries—including gaming, education, healthcare, and blockchain—for over 20 years.

Led by software entrepreneur Alexandru Cocindau and Ziba Kalbiyeva, general manager of the TeachMeCode Institute, the inaugural boot camp produced several exciting projects. The event was extremely fruitful. The first team of developers successfully created a comprehensive educational institution platform that acts as a directory. Registered facilities can list their educational offerings, such as courses, universities, schools, and education centers, while future students can compare these options, choose the best fit, and contact the facilities. Over five days, the team managed to design and develop both the front-end and back-end of the platform.

The second team developed a groundbreaking app that allows users to book sunbeds or cabanas at beach clubs and pools. This platform, set to launch in the UAE on September 1, 2024, has the potential to become a global leader in sunbed booking apps. The team impressively completed the front-end, back-end, as well as the iOS and Android versions of the app within a mere 72 hours. This rapid development was a significant achievement, highlighting the exceptional talent of the developers, who are also instructors at TeachMeCode Institute. The app offers numerous advantages, such as providing users with a seamless way to secure their spot at popular beach clubs and pools, thereby enhancing their overall experience. The success of this project underscores the developers' expertise and the high-quality instruction provided at TeachMeCode Institute.

The third team developed an educational mobile game featuring Cody from "Cody’s Code Adventures." This quiz-style game, designed to teach children coding through fun and challenging questions, boasts a dynamic admin interface. Set to be released for free to the TeachMeCode community, the game highlights the incredible work completed at the boot camp and aims to foster a love for game development among young users. This project was brought to life by skilled developers with experience working on major projects for renowned software companies such as Pixar, Disney, Unity, and Blizzard. Now part of LogX Games Studio, these talented developers are also working on an exciting new indie shooter game, set to launch before September 1, 2024. Their combined expertise and passion for innovation were pivotal in the rapid development of the educational game, showcasing the high caliber of talent nurtured at TeachMeCode Institute.

The next boot camp will be held in Serbia in partnership with TitanLabs, a software company specializing in gaming and sports betting.

TeachMeCode is expanding beyond its five-day events to offer a comprehensive three-month full-stack developer summer boot camp, starting on July 15. This intensive program will provide 360 hours of hands-on learning in UI/UX design, front-end, and back-end development, aiming to nurture the next generation of developers and tech entrepreneurs.
