Qatar’s summer season offers an array of indoor and outdoor activities, giving both residents and visitors a fusion of fun, learning, and exploration.

Apart from the numerous Qatar Museums (QM) workshops for different age groups this July, the National Museum of Qatar’s AI Digital Centre is hosting a unique workshop, ‘Gamification in Museums’. Participants aged 11-18 can learn to craft their own games. This interactive session, which began Sunday, will continue Tuesday and on Thuesday, teaches the basics of game mechanics, logic, and design.

For high school students, Education City is hosting the Summer Art and Design Programme 2024 from July 7 to August 1. This intensive three-week programme, with an optional portfolio development week, offers an introduction to various art and design majors offered at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts in Qatar. Participants can explore graphic design, interior design, painting and printmaking, or kinetic imaging.

The Mukhaymna Sports Camp, taking place at Awsaj Academy Recreation Centre from July 17-18, promotes personal growth and teamwork through various activities. Participants can enhance their skills and build resilience through swimming, bowling, padel class, chess, archery, and resistance training.

MDD has launched the “Vacation in Msheireb” campaign, which started on June 25 and running until September 15. This initiative aims to attract visitors to its hotels with enticing promotions and discounts, coupled with engaging summer activities.
