The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has spotted two violating boats at Al Khor Area, the ministry posted at its official X account.

The two boats were casting fishing nets on the coral reef.

Accordingly, the Marine Protection Department issued violation reports to the two boats and referred them to the concerned entities for necessary procedures against them.

The department also urged the public and seagoers to keep the marine environment clean, avoid throwing garbage into the seawater, or use banned fishing tools and gear such as the fishing nets made of nylon and having multiple layers.

The department added that fishing is banned at the coral reef areas.
