The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Georgetown University in Qatar and the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the United States, organized an academic visit to Washington, D.C. for distinguished diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs enrolled in the Executive Masters Program in Diplomacy and International Affairs.

During the visit, the participants attended several lectures on topics of importance to diplomats and professionals in international affairs. They also held meetings with officials and decision-makers at major US political institutions. Additionally, the program participants and representatives of the Diplomatic Institute met with officials at the White House, the US Department of State, and various think tanks.

HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr emphasized the importance of academic visits in learning about best global practices and experiences. He reiterated the Institute's commitment to developing the human resources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to perform the Qatari diplomatic role excellently.

Participants, on their part, affirmed that the academic visit to Washington provided them with the opportunity to acquire important knowledge and skills in the field of diplomacy and international affairs.
