The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure on part of Hazem Al Themaid Street in both directions from the roundabout at its intersection with Street 2234 towards Barga Haleema Street in Al Furoush and Al Kharaitiyat from Thursday, July 4, until July 20.
The closure, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is for completing the final asphalt layer of the street, as part of the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project in Al Furoush (Package 1).
During the closure period, users of Hazem Al Themaid Street who wish to continue towards Barga Haleema Street can turn right onto Umm Shahrain Street and then turn left onto Umm Imneefa Street. Those coming from Barga Haleema Street and wishing to continue towards Hazem Al Themaid Street can turn left onto Street 332 and use the internal roads to reach their destinations, as shown on the attached map.
Ashghal will install road signs to alert road users of the traffic diversion, and urged all road users to adhere to the speed limits and follow the road signs for their safety.
