Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Poland Marcin Mastalerek highlighted the strong relations between Qatar and Poland, and the broad prospects for the bilateral ties in light of the upcoming summit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Mastalerek underlined that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to the Republic of Poland will reflect positively on the bilateral relations, adding that Poland has high hopes for the visit to support the good relations between the two countries and elevate them to the highest levels, and to boost the cooperation between Warsaw and Doha.

He noted the role of mutual visits between the leaders of the two countries in strengthening bilateral relations, including HH the Amir's visit to Warsaw in 2017, and the Polish President's visit to Doha in 2021 and 2023, and most recently, His visit to Doha in May to attend the 4th Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg.

Highlighting the historical relations between the two countries, which date back to 1971 with Poland's recognition of the independence of the State of Qatar, Mastalerek expressed his countrys pride in the decision to recognize the independence of the State of Qatar in 1971, describing it as a positive decision that history has proven to be correct.

He noted that President Andrzej Duda always stresses the importance of good relations with the State of Qatar; adding that despite the geographical distance, Poland and Qatar share commonalities as both the Polish and Qatari people love peace and believe in the same human values and expressed his optimism about the future of good relations between the two countries and great cooperation at all levels.

Regarding the most prominent issues to be discussed during HH the Amir's talks with the President of Poland, His Excellency announced that the first meeting of the Joint Higher Committee for Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Poland and the State of Qatar will be convened as part of HH the Amir's visit to Warsaw. The talks will tackle strengthening the joint cooperation in the energy field, which is of great importance to Poland, explained by pointing to the fruitful and beneficial bilateral cooperation in the field of exporting Qatari LNG to the Swinoujscie LNG terminal in northern Polan since 2015.

Head of the Cabinet of the President of Poland noted that HH the Amir's visit will contribute to attracting more investors, businessmen and companies to the Polish market which he termed as "big and attractive".

The talks will cover areas of joint interest, including economy, education, culture and education, in addition to means of exchanging expertise between the two countries in land transport, maritime shipping and modern technologies, and cooperation in the agricultural and food sectors, he added.

The cooperation between Poland and Qatar can be developed in all areas as both the Polish and Qatari peoples have the ambition and desire to expand the frameworks of cooperation, he stressed.

HH the Amir's visit to Poland will give a strong boost to increasing investment opportunities between businessmen in the two countries, noting that Polish businessmen are interested greatly in increasing investment in the State of Qatar. The best evidence of this - according to him - is their large participation in the 4th Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg as part of the presidential delegation that participated in the forum, HE Mastalerek stressed.

The Head of the Cabinet of the President of Poland recalled HE President Andrzej Duda's emphasis on the importance of the Qatar Economic Forum, describing it as the "Davos of the Middle East" because of what it offers of investment opportunities and meetings of business owners, officials and decision-makers.

Regarding Poland's vision of Qatar's foreign policy and its approach to adopting dialogue and diplomatic means to resolve differences and disputes, Mastalerek underlined his country's great appreciation for the prominent role carried out by the State of Qatar and its efforts to reach peace agreements in many conflicts and disputes, including the Darfur peace agreement, the peace agreement between the Taliban and the United States, and the current mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas.

He emphasized that Poland recognizes and highly appreciates the Qatari efforts, including the prominent role of HH the Amir in resolving many disputes.

He noted that the Republic of Poland looks with hope to the possibility of ending the conflict on its eastern border in Ukraine through a just peace agreement.

On the other hand, Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Poland Marcin Mastalerek touched on the economic growth in Poland, expecting Warsaw to catch up with the economies of major European countries in terms of GDP within the next ten years. He noted that Poland hosts many headquarters of global banks and major investment funds.

He invited Qatari businessmen to participate in the celebrations of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) which was launched by Poland and Croatia in 2015. The initiative marks its tenth anniversary next year, and involves 13 European nations representing a market of more than 120 million people. (QNA)
