Doha British School (DBS) has announced the graduation of its sixth form students from both the Ain Khaled and Al Wakra campuses.
The ceremony was a culmination of years of dedication, perseverance and outstanding academic achievements by the graduating students, a statement said. As they completed rigorous exams in AS-Level, A-Level, BTEC and IB DP, their journey through secondary school came full circle amidst an atmosphere filled with pride and anticipation.
The evening was graced by guests, parents, faculty members and special invitees. The highlight of the event was a keynote address by Ghanim al-Sulaiti, who encouraged graduates to embrace responsibility and make meaningful contributions to society. His emphasis on environmental stewardship and global citizenship echoed the core values upheld by DBS, reinforcing its mission to nurture compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
The ceremony was enriched by music performances by students. The graduates are embarking on diverse paths to prestigious universities around the globe, in fields ranging from engineering and medicine to business, hospitality, science and computer studies.
A significant number of graduates from the DBS Class of 2024 will be enrolling at the newly established, bespoke campus of CUC Ulster University, in Doha's Lusail city. As an affiliate educational institution to DBS, CUC Ulster University offers a comprehensive array of internationally recognised UK degrees and diplomas.
DBS has also announced the relocation of its Al Wakra campus to a state-of-the-art facility in September 2024, featuring expansive open spaces and a vibrant layout designed to enhance student-centred learning experiences. With over 3,500 students across its campuses in Ain Khaled, Al Wakra, and Rawdat Al Hamama, DBS continues to create an environment which fosters innovation, creativity and critical thinking, offering an unparalleled learning experience which empowers students to excel in the 21st century, a statement added.
