The arrival of the Qatari security forces to the friendly French Republic has been completed. They will participate in securing the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, which will take place from Jul. 26 to Sep. 8.

At the forefront of the reception at the airport was HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, and Commander of the Qatari Security Forces for the Paris 2024 Olympics Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, alongside senior French security officials. These included Assistant Director-General of the International Security Cooperation Directorate (DCIS) Major-General Emmanuel Miglierina, Head of the Directorate of Communications and Public Relations at the French National Gendarmerie Major General Jean-Valerie Letterman, Head of Public Relations and Communications at the French National Gendarmerie Lieutenant Colonel Francois Bremand, and Security Attache for the Internal Security Forces at the Qatari Embassy in France Major Abdulrahman Al Tamimi.

Al Ali said that the participation of the forces underscores the strong relationship between Qatar and France, especially in the security field. He highlighted, what HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani said, that the mission of this force is an extension of their mission in maintaining security in Qatar, and that they will continue to carry out their duties with determination and professionalism, with Qatari security expertise becoming a valuable reference in major international events.

This participation reflects the strength and depth of the growing strategic partnership between Qatar and France, particularly in the security domain. It comes within the framework of an administrative agreement on security cooperation signed between the two countries last February.
