Qatar Stars League champions Al Sadd beat Manchester 62 of Gibraltar 8-0 in their first friendly match at their preparatory camp in Malaga, Spain, on Monday, ahead of the Ooredoo Stars League in the new season (2024-2025).

Al Sadd’s training camp began in Malaga on July 9 and will continue until the 29th, where they will play three more friendly matches against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates (on July 19), Spain’s Las Palmas (on July 23), and Spain’s Almeria (on July 28).

Al Sadd won the Expo Stars League and the prestigious Amir Cup titles last season.


Al Duhail beat Hungarian side Csikszereda 3-1

Al Duhail beat Hungary’s Csikszereda 3-1 in their friendly match on Monday at their preparatory camp in Austria.

The Red Knights will continue the training camp till August 1 in preparation for the Qatar Football League (Ooredoo Stars League) in the new season.

Al Duhail are scheduled to play four more friendlies against Austrian team Sturm Graz on July 19, UAE’s Ittihad Kalba on July 24, Saudi Arabia’s Al Khaleej on July 28, and Saudi Damac on July 31.

Al Duhail will being the new season against Qatar SC in the opening round of Ooredoo Stars League on August 19 at the Khalifa International Stadium.


Al Ahli to play three friendlies in Netherlands

The Al Ahli Sports Club’s football team will play three friendly matches at their preparatory camp in the Netherlands. The club said that the team will play the Eindhoven U23 team on Saturday, before meeting Al Wasl of the UAE on July 24, in addition to playing a third match against Belgian club Lommel Sportkring.

Al Ahli’s conditioning camp in the Dutch city of Eindhoven continues till August 2 and includes intensive training in terms of physical and technical aspects.

Al Ahli Club face Al Wakrah in their opening match of Ooredoo Stars League on August 11 at the Al Janoub Stadium.
