Rawabi Hypermarket Izghawa is hosting its first-ever Dates Fest until July 31, a statement said today.
The event was officially opened on July 25 by officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the presence of Zinab Srteb H al-Shammari and Dr Abdalkader Burhan Fyad from Al Rayyan Municipality.
Rawabi Hypermarket officials, including group general manager Kannu Baker, assistant marketing manager Sajith and store manager Ansar P P were present. The festival showcases a wide variety of dates, renowned for their exceptional quality and nutritional benefits. As Qatar’s date season is in full swing, the festival offers a timely opportunity for consumers to explore and appreciate the diverse range of date products available.
Baker, said: “On behalf of our management, including chairman M P Abdullah Haji, managing director Mohamed Abdulla and executive director Ajmal Abdullah, I express our enthusiasm for promoting national products in Rawabi stores.”
The Dates Fest is showcasing over 30 varieties of dates and date-based products. The wide selection of fresh dates include Al Ghur, Khalas, Shishi, Gurh, Khenizee, Medjool, Kimia, and many others.
“This festival not only celebrates Qatar’s agricultural richness but also serves as a platform to educate our community about the health benefits and culinary uses of dates,” Baker added.
