The activities of the “Digital Transformation and its Role in Improving Institutional Performance and Serving Citizens” forum, which is held by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (Arado), affiliated with the Arab League, kicked off yesterday in the Turkish city of Istanbul over three days.
In his speech at the opening of the forum, Arado Director-General Nasser al-Hattlan al-Qahtani said the forum aims to shed light on the importance of digital transformation and its impact on institutional performance and citizen service, in addition to reviewing global trends and recent developments in this field and identifying the most important challenges of digital transformation and ways to overcome them.
Al-Hattlan added that the forum also aims to identify the tools and technologies used in the digital transformation process, in addition to discussing how to improve the performance of institutions through information and communications technology and highlighting the importance of digitisation and digital innovations that contribute to improving the citizen’s experience in interacting with government services and institutions.
In a statement, Arado said that the forum addresses several topics in this regard, including global trends and recent developments in the field of digital transformation, reviewing the most important challenges facing the digital transformation process and ways to overcome them, in addition to the tools and technologies used in the digital transformation process, and ways to improve the performance of institutions through information and communications technology.
