The Qatar Career Development Centre (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation (QF), in partnership with the Ministry of Labour (MoL), has successfully concluded the sixth edition of its annual "My Career – My Future" programme.

The five-day event provided more than 80 high school students with practical exposure to various career paths in more than 13 organisations.

The programme culminated in a closing ceremony at Education City’s Student Centre "Multaqa", attended by QCDC leadership, representatives from the MoL, and partner organisations.

The event highlighted the students’ experiences throughout the programme and featured weeklong competitions that challenged them to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills.

During the ceremony, students were recognised for their dedication and active participation, with awards for their achievements and certificates of completion presented to all participants.

QCDC career programmes and services manager Saad al-Kharji said he is proud to conclude the sixth edition of the "My Career – My Future" programme, adding that it is a key component of broader efforts to provide students with practical exposure and experience in sectors that are deemed important to Qatar's sustainable development journey.

He added that the programme complements the ongoing initiatives to equip youth with the skills, knowledge, and awareness needed for their future careers, affirming that he is grateful to the partners at the MoL and all participating organisations for helping the QCDC realise this objective and to the students for their commitment and active engagement.

Director of the MoL’s Department of Qualifying Skills Development, Abdulrahman Mohamed Talfat, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership between the ministry and the QCDC, praising the students' commitment to active engagement in the programme. – QNA
