The crew of the musical play 'The World of the Sea' is to present its shows at the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association Theater, starting from September 22 until October 10.

The play is being shown in its second edition after its great success at Qatar Expo last year. The cast of the musical play comprises Ahmed al-Khayat, Wafaa Qassab, Amina, and a group of showmen, reported Arabic daily 'Al-Rayah'.

The work is under the supervision of Khaled al-Ziyara. It is written by Dr Majd al-Ziyara, directed and choreographed by Tamer al-Qazzaz, and the lyrics of the play's songs were written by Mona al-Adwi, composed and distributed by Ahmed Kamal. While Ahmed Kamal and the choir sang in it, with Fakher Bin Khaled as the decorator, Hamad al-Akbari as the assistant director, Mohamad Bijawi at the lighting, and Firas Farhat in the management and production.

Director Tamer al-Qazzaz explained that the work is about life in the depths of the seas, the diversity of creatures, and the role of each one of them. It also explains the importance of sustainability in marine life, in addition to many awareness topics for children that are presented in a musical comedy, and a theatrical format.

He stressed that the show presents a purposeful awareness message to contribute to protecting the marine environment, stressing that although it targets children, it is directed to the entire family.

He pointed out that he relied on creativity, professionalism, and resorting to visual reflection in presenting his vision, including audio and visual effects, in conjunction with providing correct information in his keenness to adhere to the dramatic format.

He hoped that the largest number of the audience would attend it in the coming days, to achieve its goals in reaching different family members, by addressing an environmental issue that concerns humanity as a whole.
