Six people were killed and 11 others injured in a fire that broke out Thursday in a hotel in South Korea.
The Gyeonggi Province Civil Defense said in a statement that its crews had recovered the bodies of six people and rescued 11 others from a fire that broke out on the eighth floor of a nine-storey hotel in Bucheon, south of the capital Seoul.

It noted that the authorities sent 46 fire trucks and 150 firefighters to the scene, expecting more deaths and injuries as the fire has not yet been extinguished.
It is worth noting that one person was killed and three others were injured in a fire that broke out last June in a lithium battery factory south of the Korean capital Seoul.
