Qatar Charity (QC) inaugurated several significant development projects in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
The inauguration took place during a visit to Kyrgyzstan by a QC delegation chaired by CEO's Assistant for the International Operations and Programs sector Nawaf AlHammadi, and with the presence of HE
Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Ali Jaber Al Marri, supervisor of Qatar Charitys office in Bishkek Abdul Nasser Al Fakhroo, along with a lineup of Kyrgyz government officials.
During the visit, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Nawaf Al Hammadi, in which they discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid and the implementation of social projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, agreeing to continue collaboration and exchange experiences in the field of charitable work and social responsibility.
The inauguration featured the opening of the country's 5th largest mosque: Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Abdullah Al-Thani Mosque in Kara-Balta, a city in the Chuy Province, from a generous donation from Sheikh Faisal bin Khalifa bin Ali Al-Thani. The mosque holds special significance as it is situated in a densely populated city and is close to large markets. It is estimated that at least 1,000 people will visit it daily.
The mosque can accommodate approximately 2,000 people and consists of three floors, which include a prayer hall, a womens prayer area, a Quran memorization center, toilets, and ablution facilities.
At the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, the Deputy Mufti of the Kyrgyz Republic Samidin Atabaev hoped for continued collaboration to establish similar projects that serve the local community and strengthen the connection of Kyrgyz people with their faith.
In a speech, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Ali Jaber Al Marri thanked the donors and Qatar Charity, encouraging the continuation of these noble efforts, which aim to strengthen the relations between the Qatari and Kyrgyz peoples. His Excellency also thanked the government bodies that facilitated charitable work and development projects.
On the second day of the visit, the Ahl Qatar Multi-Service Complex was inaugurated in the Tong District of the Issyk-Kul Province. The complex includes a mosque, a kindergarten, a school, an orphanage, and a clinic.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a lineup of high-level Kyrgyz dignitaries and Qatar Charity officials.
In his speech at the inauguration, Issyk-Kul region governor emphasized the importance of the project, which focuses on the education and upbringing of future generations. He highlighted local authorities' commitment to caring for and maintaining the project, expressing readiness to cooperate with QC in implementing further development projects to serve the region.
In turn, the supervisor of Qatar Charitys office in Bishkek Abdul Nasser Al Fakhroo praised the cooperation of government and local authorities with QC. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of sustaining the project for the benefit of the local population and highlighted the role of education in the development of the targeted communities.
On the third day of the visit, the delegation inaugurated the Al Rayyan Charity Center in a village in the Naryn region. This is a multi-service center, consisting of a mosque, school, a kindergarten, a health center (providing primary healthcare services to 10,000 people), social housing for the families of orphans (30 apartments), an artesian well, and a sewing workshop.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, the first vice governor of the Naryn region expressed his hope for the continuation of joint cooperation among the parties that completed this project.
For his part, Kochkor district governor said that this project meets the actual needs of the region's residents for education, healthcare, places of worship, and provides opportunities for training many needy families, enabling them economically, as well as offering them suitable housing.
In his remarks during the inauguration ceremony, Nawaf Al Hammadi stated that this day would be remembered in this village as it contributes to providing essential services in various areas.
Moreover, at the end of the ceremony, certificates of house handover were distributed to the beneficiaries. (QNA)
