NHRC chairperson in Riyadh meeting

President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC), Hala bint Mazyad al-Tuwaijri, met in Riyadh Wednesday with HE the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee and Chairperson of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, Maryam bint Abdullah al-Attiyah.

They discussed efforts to sign a memorandum of understanding to exchange expertise, best practices, co-operation and co-ordination to organise training courses and conferences on the most important topics related to human rights in the Gulf and the Arab region.

Al-Attiyah gave a detailed presentation on the bodies at the UN House in Qatar, and extended an invitation to visit those offices and work on co-ordinating future co-operation with them in the context of their development and humanitarian work beyond Qatar.
