The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and Mowasalat (Karwa) have concluded the ‘Back To School’ campaign for 2024-2025 academic year at Doha Festival City.

The campaign was held under the slogan ‘My School, My Second Home’ from August 25-31 with the participation of the General Traffic Department, the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Transport.

This annual campaign, according to a statement from Karwa, targeted students and parents to benefit from various educational and entertainment activities offered at the pavilion.

These included games on how to drive a bus and follow traffic safety and educational guidelines such as how to prepare for school and participate effectively in classroom activities. Awareness lectures were held on safety guidelines for transportation to and from school, including instructions on school bus etiquette, traffic laws, traffic signals, safe driving controls and road use. The activities included a workshop for children on recycling consumables and guidelines on general hygiene, drawing and colouring, storytelling and puppet theatre in addition to mental games and sports segments. The campaign achieved its goal of preparing students psychologically and mentally to welcome the new academic year that began Sunday and encouraged them to love learning and develop their various skills.

The campaign witnessed a wide turnout from visitors. More than 4,000 souvenirs were distributed by MoEHE and Karwa to children participating in the events. The Public Relations and Communications Department honoured the partners and supporters of the campaign in appreciation of their efforts in making the campaign a success and achieving its goals.
