Finnish president welcomes Amir's visit

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb welcomed the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to Finland, noting that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In a post on his official X account, the president wrote: "I warmly welcome HH the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to Finland. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries.

"A close dialogue between our two countries is important, especially because of the security situation in Europe and the Middle East," he added.
