Katara - Cultural Village has finalised preparations to launch the 8th edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition S'hail 2024, on Tuesday.

The five-day event will feature participation from 19 countries, with 166 companies specialising in the sale of the latest hunting weapons, falconry equipment, camping supplies, and outdoor hunting gear. Some of the exhibitors are attending for the first time, particularly from China and European countries.

Abdulaziz al-Sayed, director of S'hail 2024, said this edition will be the most distinguished yet, offering a wide range of new opportunities, incredible displays and the latest innovations in hunting weapons and rifles, falconry gear, outdoor hunting and camping equipment.

A variety of competitions, cultural events, and artistic activities will also celebrate the heritage of hunting and falconry. The S'hail Falcon Auction will, as always, be a highlight of the exhibition, offering the finest and rarest falcons and attracting strong interest and competition from falconry enthusiasts. Participation in the auction is available through an e-application.

Al-Sayed said this year's organising committee selected a group of leading local, Arab, and international companies in the fields of hunting weapons, outdoor trips, and related supplies to present modern, diverse, and high-quality products at competitive prices. Further, a series of scientific seminars and lectures will be hosted, alongside poetry evenings.

The organising committee has set up a special tent in the southern section of Katara for the delivery of hunting weapons, rifles, and ammunition in a smooth process. There will be workshops and craft shops producing handmade hunting and falconry tools.

Al-Sayed added that the exhibition will also see a notable participation from national and international companies displaying the latest accessories and four-wheel drive vehicle equipment, alongside the most luxurious caravans used for outdoor and hunting trips.

Veterinary clinics and pharmacies for falcons and birds will be present as well, providing medical and laboratory services, in addition to examinations and guidance for bird care. They will also offer medications and treatment prescriptions.

S'hail 2024 is held in partnership with a group of national sponsors, most notably the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, Daam, as the strategic partner.
