Members of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) underlined that ending the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people must be an entryway to reaching a final and just settlement of the Palestinian issue.

In the "Rabat Declaration" issued at the conclusion of the 52nd Meeting of the PUIC Executive Committee, the participants denounced the brutal killings carried out by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the West Bank. They also strongly condemned the practices of extremist settlers who tamper with the property of the Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.

The Rabat Declaration called on the international community, especially the influential powers in the international resolution and the United Nations, to work to stop the aggression immediately, lift the siege on the Palestinian territories, enable the residents of Gaza to obtain food and medicine, and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

It also urged action by multilateral parliamentary organizations and national parliaments in various world countries to force the Israeli occupation to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people, and to immediately exchange captives between the two parties; warning against any infringement on the status quo in Jerusalem.
