The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's repeated bombing of a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) that was housing displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, which led to martyrs and injured, including children, women, and UN staff.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that this horrifying massacre is the latest evidence of the occupation's criminal approach and its contempt for the principles of international humanitarian law. The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's call for an urgent international investigation, including the dispatch of independent UN investigators to investigate the ongoing attacks by occupation forces on schools and shelters for displaced people.

The Ministry affirmed that protecting innocent lives, addressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation, and preserving what remains of Gaza's infrastructure require intensified regional and international efforts to immediately end the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, and the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
