Qatar University marks premiere of 'To the Sons of the Nation' on Father Amir's achievements

Qatar University (QU) celebrated Sunday the premiere of a documentary on His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani's wisdom and vision that led to Qatar's multi-field progress."To the Sons of the Nation", directed by Qatar's Amal al-Muftah and Rawda al-Thani, traces the great achievements under HH the Father Amir's leadership through interviews with key Qatari figures and archival footage documenting pivotal moments during His Highness' reign. These achievements range from economic prosperity, to advanced education and health sectors and a robust global Qatar status The Doha Film Institute's latest production addresses the bold decisions His Highness took to subdue challenges and put Qatar on a sustainable path towards prosperity and development. It highlights the major transformations that Qatar has witnessed and deliver an inspiring message to future generations to continue striving towards achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030.QU President Dr Omar al-Ansari said it was a great honour to document the life of His Highness who presented a unique model of sacrifice, wisdom, and insight for his country. The QU is proud to review pages from the history of Qatari wise leadership, and draw lessons from them in leadership and wise leadership, noting that the university, from this standpoint, is keen to build the student's character and enhance the spirit of belonging and pride in the country and its leaders.Meanwhile, Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr Mohammad Diab, hailed His Highness as a symbol of outstanding national achievements, and a leader who, with his insightful vision, was able to lead the State of Qatar to a stage of progress and prosperity in various fields. He also lauded the documentary as an opportunity for current generations, especially students, to learn about the great efforts to consolidate Qatar's regional and international status.Dr Diab urged university students to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the country's bright history, and look forward to a bright future in which they will be ambassadors for this great nation.Director of Student Activities, Abdullah al-Mulla, said the film screening on the QU campus is an exceptional occasion to promote national values among students and highlight the role of the wise leadership in building the nation. He indicated that this event provides students with the opportunity to learn about the history of Qatar and His Highness the Father Amir's inspiring journey that accomplished renaissance and development.
