Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign announced that gunshots were fired near his golf course in Palm Beach, Florida.

"President Trump is safe," Campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung stated, adding that there are no further details at this time.

The Secret Service, in collaboration with Palm Beach Police, is investigating the incident, which reportedly involved an exchange of gunfire between two individuals near Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, where the former president was present. The area was immediately secured following the incident.

In July, Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, where shots were fired. One person was killed, and two others were injured, with Trump sustaining an injury to his right ear.
