Documentaries are powerful tools for storytelling, and we’re dedicated to empowering content creators, media entrepreneurs, and filmmakers worldwide. Qatar is becoming the epicenter for creative talent, and we’re proud to be part of it."
MCQ, an emerging global media hub, offers a favourable regulatory environment, cutting-edge business facilities, and compelling incentive schemes to ensure the success of emerging media ventures in Qatar. This comprehensive strategy is vital for the ongoing growth and development of the nation’s diverse creative industries, including broadcasting, traditional and digital news, gaming, user-generated content, AI, and other advanced technologies.
AJD Industry Days served as a crucial gathering for documentary projects from Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and North Africa. The event showcased numerous projects and included initial presentations followed by one-on-one meetings.
The setup provided documentary filmmakers from these regions the chance to network with decision-makers and leading professionals from both regional and international documentary and TV industries. The aim was to help secure funding for documentary production, facilitating broadcast, distribution, screening, and sales on a global scale, the statement added.
