MES Indian School won an array of medals in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Competition, organised by Ideal Indian School over three days. A team of 31 boys and 28 girls represented the school across various age groups and categories. In the U-14 and U-19 boys’ categories, MES team won the first runner-up and overall second runner-up position. Faihaan Ajmal (V B), Luqmaan Ahmed (X B), Krishanth Muralidaran (VII J) , and Muhammed Shibili Muringoli (VIII G) won gold in their respective categories. The boys’ team secured 14 silver and 12 bronze. In the Girls’ category, MES bagged five gold, 14 silver and nine bronze, becoming the first runner-up in all three categories — U-14, U-17, and U-19 — besides earning the overall second runner-up position. Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners and the coaches Mohamed Navas and Mariam Sameer.
