Qatar Museums (QM) has announced the donation of two buses by Al Abdulghani Motors for the newly launched QM Community Service Section.

These buses will transport volunteers to archaeological sites, public art installations, and cultural institutions across Qatar, a QM statement said.

The vehicles have been enhanced with LED screens, 5G connections, and other flexible display capabilities that will allow the QM to conduct a variety of experiential educational programmes in remote locations such as schools and archaeological sites.

As the main sponsor of the QM Volunteer Programme, ConocoPhillips Qatar's funding made possible the refit of the donated vehicles to meet the specific requirements.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision of promoting community engagement and cultural preservation, which is central to the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The launch at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) was attended by QM chief executive Mohammed Saad al-Rumaihi and Al Abdulghani Motors chief executive Abdul Ghani Nasser al-Abdulghani.

In a press statement, al-Rumaihi said: “We are honoured to be in a space where organisations from different industries are extending their support to our operations. I am looking forward to the inaugurations as important milestones for our future vision.”

Regarding the partnership, al-Abdulghani said: "We are delighted to include this educational and cultural collaboration in our community service programmes, in line with our commitment to innovation in the mobility sector, and our continuous endeavor to participate in delivering benefits to all groups across Qatar."

These vehicles will play a pivotal role in programmes such as “Youth Hub”, which engages schools and universities, and “Darb Al Matahef”, which promotes Qatar's archaeology and culture and underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving the country’s cultural and educational goals, the statement added.
