Under the aegis of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre (Fanar) is holding an Arabic learning course for the students at the University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

An Awqaf statement explained that the course is part of Fanar’s project to teach Arabic to non-native Arabic speakers.

The course, being attended by 49 male and female students from the Faculty of Islamic Studies Department at the University of Sarajevo, is presented by professors who specialise in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, affiliated with Fanar.

The course began on September 1 and will continue until October 7, with 80 teaching hours.

Fanar director Dr Saleh bin Ali al-Marri said that the co-operation with the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Sarajevo comes within the framework of Awqaf’s interest in strengthening external Islamic relations, as part of its purposeful religious and cultural vision and mission.
