Dr Majid bin Mohamed al-Ansari, Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, has welcomed the approval of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs at the European Parliament of the exemption of Qatari citizens from entry visa to Schengen region without any conditions.
He pointed out in a statement to QNA that such approval came as an outcome of the continuous efforts of the mission of Qatar at the European Union and the Foreign Ministry to guarantee that it would be passed without any hurdles. He also expressed happiness that the decision to approve the exemption came with a majority of 42 votes at the committee.
